To install RapidFTR, you must download the RapidFTR Installer, extract the contents, and then run the installer.
Download the appropriate RapidFTR Web installer for your Operating System to the Desktop
The RapidFTR web installer is available at the link: https://bit.ly/rapidftr under the folder named server
Find the downloaded RapidFTR installer on the Desktop and right-click it, then select Extract here
The RapidFTR-Linux-2.0.0 folder is extracted to the Ubuntu Desktop.
Open a Terminal window
In the Terminal, run this command to navigate to the RapidFTR-Linux-2.0.0 folder:
cd Desktop/RapidFTR-Linux-2.0.0/
Run this command to install RapidFTR:
sudo ./install.sh
Enter your Ubuntu password.
On completion, the installer automatically starts the RapidFTR server. To access the RapidFTR server, simply open up a web browser and type https://localhost
into the URL field of the browser.
NOTE: You may need to wait for up to 10 minutes for the RapidFTR server to start up before you will be able to access https://localhost
Download the RapidFTR Web installer by running the command:
wget http://bit.ly/rapidftr-linux
Extract the contents of the downloaded RapidFTR installer by running the command:
unzip rapidftr-linux -d /tmp/rapidftr-linux
The rapidftr-linux folder is extracted to the location /tmp/
Change directories into the rapidftr-linux folder by running the command:
cd /tmp/rapidftr-linux/
Run this command to install RapidFTR:
sudo ./install.sh
The RapidFTR installer is able to automatically detect the connectivity status of the netbook and adjust appropriately. Performing an offline installation can therefore be performed in the same way as noted above and will in most cases result in a faster installation due to the use of cached dependencies
